I designed this red carnelian statement ring for anyone who loves warm, rich colour and jewellery that makes an immediate impact. The large oval stone has a beautiful deep red tone with subtle variations beneath its polished surface, giving it much more character than a flat block of colour. Against the 24k gold finish, the warmth of the carnelian really comes alive.

This is an unapologetically large ring, and that is exactly the point. I wanted the stone to be the main feature, with a simple setting that lets its colour and generous proportions speak for themselves. It can easily be the only piece of jewellery you need.

Red and gold work particularly well with black, cream, camel and chocolate brown. I also love this combination with denim, khaki or a crisp white shirt for a more relaxed look.

As with natural stone, subtle differences in colour and markings make every ring slightly individual.
