When I found this hot pink agate, I knew it needed a really simple design because the colour does all the talking. The stone is a fabulous, intense fuchsia pink, with subtle tonal changes and delicate banding visible towards one side. It is bold without being complicated – exactly the kind of statement jewellery I love to design.

I’ve chosen a clean 925 silver finish for the setting, which gives the bright pink a fresh contrast and keeps all the attention on that oversized oval stone. It is definitely not a ring for blending into the background, but that is rather the point.

I love this colour with black or navy, where the pink really stands out, but it is equally good with white, grey and denim. If you enjoy colour, try it with orange, turquoise or green for something much more playful.
